East Bay Comic Con was actually started in a different form in 1979. We called it “Super-Con” a name we used till 2010 in one form or another. In 1995, we started our first 2 day show in Oakland, but, we kept the Hayward show going and started calling it “Hayward-Con” and it was always at Centennial Hall on Foothill Blvd. Around years ago, the Hayward building was demolished. Well, we couldn’t call a show in Concord “Hayward-Con”, thus was born East Bay Comic Con.
